I was on the cliff’s edge,
Staring into the abysmal sea below,
With the ground crumbling under my feet,
Ready to give up,
Ready to turn away from love.
But then you showed up,
A bridge to cross the abyss,
A nudge to turn me back to the beach,
A reminder that bliss shouldn’t be shunned,
An awakening of my core.
At first I was afraid,
I needed a hand across the bridge,
A guide to the beach,
An illuminated tunnel through my core and an explorer to teach me its depths.
You freely gave me your hand, guidance, and illumination.
The fear melted away, ecstasy taking its place.
You showed me who I wanted to be.
For that, I will always love you.
